Power steering hose leaking

well its the upper hose. i think its the high pressure hose. it expands as i turn the wheel. i had a small leak that just got worse. now i need a new hose. the dealer quoted me $192. is there anywhere else i can get it cheaper. internetautomart???

also, ive read this is an absolute pain to change. anybody have any suggestions. oh yeah, this is for an 90 GXE without the luxury option.

well i just ordered from internet auto mart. man he gets alot of business from 3rd geners.

so the swap was not hard. i have my little brother driving that car, he said it was making noises for like 3 days before i saw the car and noticed it was his power steering pump that was making all the noise. god i hope he didnt mess up the pump while he kept driving on it.

any suggestions grndmaxdmon? do i have to drain the fluid? will i have to bleed the system at all? thanks

no need to bleed the system if ur just changing the pressure hose. if u r gonna get to the point where u have to change the pump its not the hard so i heard from other members on here. i replaced my pump along with pressure hose while my motor was out of my '93 since i was doin' a motor swap. shouldn't be hard to replace atleast not for me when i replaced my pressure hose once. oh and u don't need to drain the fluid when u change the hose.
