Corner Lamps and Instrument Cluster Lights Out!

Hey guys, haven't posted here in a while!

Anyway, I got my car inspected yesterday and made the mistake of not checking all my lights. The corner lamps were out, or at least real dim so the guy replaced those (with the ugly orange ones!).

I did two rewires to the corner lamps long ago, the "always bright" one and the one that makes the tiny bulb in the corner alternate on and off with the blinkers.

So the corner lights worked fine for a day until last night when I was driving to work. My instrument cluster lights just turned off all of a sudden. Same with the new corner lights, they went out. Headlights and blinkers worked fine.

I figured either a fuse blew or the inspector guy screwed up my corner lamp wiring when he pulled the corner lights out. I checked the wiring and bulbs, they seemed to be fine. Though the lights don't seem to be the dual coil type. So maybe this combined with the ultrabright rewire blew a fuse or something?

I'm not sure of which fuse(s) control the instrument panel lights and corner lamps, could someone point me in the right direction? Any other suggestions in case it is not a fuse?

Thanks guys.

Open up the fuse box underneath your left thigh. The cover has a sticker on it that tells you which fuses is for what system.

^ heh, I know that, but none of them seem to be related to the instrument cluster or corner lamps.

It's definitely a 10 amp fuse (red one). I've had my instrument lights go out before cuz of a fuse. Try checking the one for the taillights.

Will, thanks a lot, you were right. It was the tail lamp fuse. I would've never guessed that!
