This is it guys...

I'm writing this in pain... my wrist is broken, my thumb is broken in two places, I've got more cuts and bruises than I've ever had. My face is swollen as well. I can barely move my arms and it's gonna take about 4 weeks for me to be able to work again.

I crashed my max yesterday evening. It was no ones fault, just an accident. I had to move away quick because of meeting traffic on a small road, and skided down the ditch, out on the road in about 70 degrees angle, then the next car hit me in my passenger side. We were both doing about 70km/h so the crash and the force was enormous. I don't remember anything from that point but from the looks of it I bounced off the road, circled a tree and landed on the roof. I woke up inside the car and was able to, with some pain, drag myself out of there through the drivers side rear door window which of course was broken. I've never blead as much as I did then, but I had to reassure myself of the well-being of the ones I crashed with. They looked bad but was alive and breathing so I sat down and tried to grasp the reality of what's happened. Next thing I know the firetrucks came, police and ambulance. I got taken to the hospital and have spent all night and day there.

This is how the cars looked after the crash;

I am very, very lucky to be alive. I was almost crushed inside the car but I'm alive and well, considering the circumstances. This certainly has got me thinking... I've got to have had a guardian angel or I wouldn't have survived.

The other two was a man in his forty's and his young son. They got away with a broken leg and a broken hand, so they're lucky too.

I'm afraid that was my last ride with the max... The insurance will definatly take it to the junkyard, and my next car will unlikely be a max since they're so unusual here. It'll always be in my heart as the car who saved my life, after this experience nothing can take that away.

I'll be checking in a couple of more times. Cheers guys.

thanks for your thoughts and words guys... as you all say, better the car than me. I'm surprised it let me live through this crash as well, but I'm very happy it did. it sorts of puts another perspective on life if you know what I mean. first of all I'm gonna get well, then I've got a new job to look forward to in some weeks.

haven't given much thought to my next car. I don't think it'll be a max after this anyhow... too much emotions involved with that car. she meant too much. people seem to have problems understanding that your car can actually mean that much, but she was my precious, my baby... I'll never get the time and money back that I've put into her but that's OK.

One thing that probably could have saved me from this accident though... Eibachs and Koni's. The car threw back out towards the ditch because the suspension was too soft to stand up against my hard steering. With Eibachs on that could probably have been different. That's my one advice from all this.

Thanks again guys. Don't worry about me though, I'm a tough case to beat

P.s. You asked for my cardomain site, here it is: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=431036 d.s.

DIY ppl do understand ...its hard to be separated from this world goods for good. But thats in everybodys future.

"We were both doing about 70km/h"
---> with Eibachs, you would be doin 120, he 70. U wouldnt be writing to us any more.

I really hope theres a max waiting...

When I woke up after the crash and everything was quiet, I didn't at first remember where I was or what had happened, but after a while I realised I was trapped between the roof and the chair or floor or something... I didn't care, at first I paniced and thought the car might start to burn. But as I pulled myself loose I regained my calm and got out of there.

The scary thing was that when the firemen came they stated my car as priority nr 2 since there couldn't be any survivors in there anyway. When they found out I was the one driving the car they were all shocked. I've got a friend working as a fireman for that specific force but fortunally he wasn't working that night. He called me up and gave me the details today. Apparently all of the framework is collapsed because they had a hard time dragging the car out of there, it started to wobble back and forth like a loose rope. It sure absorbed the power.

Wiking; Of course it's up to everyone themselves to take responsibility for their driving, even if you've got Eibachs.

Hectic; Yeah I've got a girlfriend of mine staying over for a couple of days, taking care of me. She's pretty much the swedish standard if you know what I mean more important she's nice and caring and makes me laugh through this heavy period.

Thanks again guys for all your support

There's no telling what fate / god / whatever you belive in as in hand... it really got me thinking, I tell you that...

No the tires was fine, the back ones were new for this summer and the front ones had about 7mm left. Just checked them since it was time for emissions in october.

Still waiting for the police to come out with their investigation results... gonna be nice being freed from any accusations that ppl may come up with.

Accused/Guilty/Mean individuals cannot sleep w/o spreading it. They are being used, theyre compelled to come.
Freedom means that u dont have to [fulfill this deed] or be burdened as the forced ones approach u. The miracle of Freedom is, one may be free even if guilty, accused and jailed. Seek the Miracle.

Freedom did not just happen, isnt Free. The Freedom to drive Maxima tHere (or Iraq), came because lots ppl died and paid the price. Otherwise we/you would walk and only see the state red Lada's...

Anyways, drive/park Maxima this way or that way, magpies will come. So be happy, and start seeking new max (has to be 3gen!)
