3rd and 2nd gen option comparison...
I was lookin around the 2nd gen section and they look like some pretty cool cars. Very boxy, but still cool. I just wanna know how we advanced from them in technology. I know we had some neat options at the time that came with the 3rd gens like HUD, Sonar Suspension, Digital Dash, that Power/Comfort switch for the AT's, Digital Climate Control, power seats(I think), those cool motorized seatbelts and some other stuff I can't really think of right now. Did the 2nd gens have any of these options or anything we never had? Thanks.

they had sonar suspension and the early ones had a talking lady that would tell you things like your lights are on or door ajar or pay carnote......you should post this in the 2nd gen section because they actually own the cars....id love to have a 2nd gen, some guys on here have some really nice ones. some of their cars had auto seatbelts some didnt. youll just have to ask them...

I owned a second gen before, so here are some features that I can remember:
-Digi dash, not using LEDs numbering, but rather a bar of light to indicate your speed
-MPG trip computer, the thing pretty much measure the amount of fuel left in your fuel tank, displays it out in gallons, and calculate how far you can go basing on your current speed.
-auto seatbelt
-power seats (I miss that feature)
-double din cassette deck with equalizer
Basically all the stuff we have now, minus the power/comfort switch for the auto tranny.
from 2nd gen to 3rd gen, I don't think there is much difference. Hell, they even rust in the rear fender well in the same area as the 3rd gen. The startup sound of the 2nd gen engine is nothing short of melodeous, and sounds like that of a 90 ish pathfinder, almost the same as our 3rd gen. I don't know if their auto tranny are problem prone or not, but I remembered when I was driving in the snow one day, my brakes quit working, and the e-brake cables were jammed(common problem) due to improper jacking of the car from the shop, I had to literally put the car in park while doing about 25-30mph. I really thought that I did grenade it, but it ran afterward without even a hitch.
