Automatic to 5-speed conversion...

I don't know about you other 89 automatic owners but I am sick and tired of my sluggish automatic
!!! I have been thinking about installing a 5-speed in my auto. Iknow there are ALOT of minor changes I have to make, I also know it would be easier to buy a factory stick, but like most of you out there I am way to attached to this car and have put way too much money and put far too many man hours into it to just buy another. I am doing this for sure just want some opinions. I have already found a rolled 92 5-speed in an Arkansas salvage yard. Just savin up some cheese right now. Well I could really use some advice guys, and will it be worth my time.
