In gas station, I saw fuel injector cleaner oil. We just pour it in the gas tank before filling the tank with gas (they were selling it for $12 for half gallon).
Does anyone know it really cleans the fuel injector? Is it safe to us this product?

Damn $12 is a little steep.I usually buy STP fuel injector cleaner from the auto parts for about $3.It is a good way to keep your fuel injectors from getting dirty and eventually failing. You use it every oil change.

There's two types I use. I use Outlaw octane booster on regularly on full tanks of 91 or above octane. Immediately after an oil change I use Maximum Import Performance Octane booster as well as the Maximum Import Performance fuel injector cleaner and it works wonders on gas mileage as well as keeping me from haveing to pay $60.00 for fuel injector cleaning service. Both Outlaw and the other stuff are made by Penzzoil.

I use Gumout for my fuel injection cleaner. It works really well. It costs about $4 a bottle. I use it every 4 fill-ups. I clean my throttle body and adjuct my throttle cable about every 5000 miles. I try to keep my baby running just as smooth as possible.

Some auto parts guy told me to buy a fuel system cleaner made by "NOS". The same people who make the nitrous oxide gas.

The NOS brand is nothing speacial....

its the same as the Outlaw, STP and other brands...but I admit when I first saw it on the shelf it made me do a double take...I was like "WTF!? NOS in a bottle?"
