lower tie bar
poly control arm bushings
poly engine/tranny mounts
better shocks
stiffer springs
stop spinning the tires

I have everything matt mentioned and I have zero wheel hop. You can't hear (good tires+loud exhaust) or feel the tires spinning at all.

I've never had wheel hop in the 3rd gen, from stock suspension to fully modded. 5th gen on the other hand...

Matt hit the nail on the head. If you want to go a bit more extreme for the track, you can zip tie your front springs to keep them from rising and put rubber spacers in your rear springs to keep your rear from dropping. Get the heavy duty zip ties. You can get the 250lb ties found here: http://www.buycableties.com/catalog/?cid=8 and wrap about 6-8 of them around the coils as many times as you can.

I bought the heavy duty cable ties at Home Depot. I think they were 150lb tensile strength. I put about 8 of them on each spring and wrapped them two times per cable tie. I've been driving with them for about 7 months now and not one of them has broken during aggresive daily driving.

As for the rear rubber spacers, I got mine at Auto Zone. You can get them at almost any parts store now. Just find the one that BARELY fits in between your coils. You never want it to losely fit in there or it will fall out.

Other than that, get poly motor and tranny mounts and everything that was mentioned above.

Since I have an auto, I've never had wheel hop. I know it's more common in manuals though. Oh yeah, get slicks!

for some reason i've never had wheel hop either, even with the turbo. i've only had torque steer once and that's when i hammered it with the wheel slightly turned. when the wheel was strait though, i've not had any torque steer than i can think of.

I get torque steer anytime I stomp on it in 1st gear with the wheels not perfectly straight. Most of the time, it's predictable and the torque steer isn't that bad. But sometimes, I guess when I hit some dirt, sand, or oil that I can't see, it will ****** the steering wheel out of my hand if I'm not holding on tightly. So, anytime I get on the gas, I'm holding on.

But I've never had wheel hop before. If I spin the tires, it's always a smooth and consistant amount of traction loss.

I would say you either have bad struts up front and/or the front tires are out of round....

Its also possible that bad motor mounts would cause some wheel hop too...

I have pretty bad wheel hop problems, but that usually only comes from letting the clutch out fast. If I slip the clutch out I not only get better 60' times, but less hop. I do get torque steer though anytime I punch the gas in 2nd gear. 1st gear just spins em.

My wheel hop only comes in the top of first gear when boost kicks in. and then shift to second the tires just roast in till the top of 2nd. and then just get bad torque steer.

Ok I dont want to sound stupid or anything as the name kinda says it all but can you guys tell me what all these terms mean in detail. Like wheel hop, torque steer I have an idea but not too sure.
thanks

Wheel hop is when the front tires bounce up and down violently when you floor it from a standstill.....

Torque steer is the steering wheel jerking to the left or right[more common to the right] when you floor it......This problem is only in front wheel drive cars....

thanks for clarifying that, guess I had the concept right.. but can the torque steer occur only when it shifts for the first time and not necessarily flooring it?
On my old accord when I would step on it hard and/or flooring it, it would jerk real bad when you felt it shift, I feel it a bit on the maxipad not as much

Mild torque steer is normal on most fwd cars.... The more horse power the car has, the more torque steer there will be.....Severe t/s on 3rd gens. is usually a sign the control arm bushings are bad....
