Sold the Max Today

Well, this is it for me, folks. I sold the Max today to a very happy young lady who gave me my asking price. She was thrilled to get such a nice car, and I was somewhat sad to see it go.
It was a great relationship while it lasted, and I certainly got some great advice here on the 'Org. Thanks to all of you for your advice. I saved thousands of dollars with the advice I got here, and I highly recommend that, if you haven't already done so, donate a simple $10 or $20 to keep this resource going. It's a very small price to pay for expert, non-BS advice.

I'm selling a Y-pipe and VG tranny, so check over on the "for sale" side if you need either of those. And, of course, if I happen on another decent Maxi for sale, I may be back "full time."

Adios!

Well we know the expert... but BS???? Yeah I guess we do try to keep that from happening, though occasionally we do get a wild hair.

I still have my Tahoe and a low-mileage 98 Taurus (Tore-a$$). The Taurus isn't 1/2 the car the Maxi was, but it doesn't require quite the upkeep (yet).
I had the Max in the paper for $1,250, and the Taurus for $1,000. I received 12 calls in two days on the Max, ZERO on the Taurus. Max had 180K miles, Taurus less than 100K.

Going to bank the money, save my pennies, and look for a decent 4th Gen Max SE 5-speed.
