I started it up after it sat all night, and it started without a problem.

While I was warming the car up and after reading a couple of comics from the morning paper, I noticed that the clock had no display! I then turned on the fan on the Climate Control and no air!

I was very shocked and quickly thought "...more damn money has to go this car again".

I shut it off and then restarted. The clock came back on and the blower fan worked.

What on earth happened? I know for sure I was sober and saw these things happen.

This happens in Fords if the key is between the Start and on position, the engine runs, the starter is disengaged, but the electrical system is turned off like it is when you start the engine. Try to reproduce it, it could happen in other cars too.

It happened again

Today it happened again. I swear all I did was start it. It started and ran fine.

But the clock was out. After I shut it down, the clock came back on. I restarted, and everything was fine.

Since this is the second time, I think I may have a definate problem somewhere.

the clock problem is really common on third gens. the fix for the clock is pretty simple, you may wanna do a search for it. it has to do with the connections on the back going bad.
