I have a 93 SE and the other day my trunk release from the inside was workin fine and I tried to use it today and nothing happens. You can hear it clicking and trying to open the trunk but it can't. Any ideas on whats wrong and how to fix it? Thanks in advance.

Have someone pull up as you release the switch. If you can get in using the key, which I figure you can, then do so. There is a switch on the latch in the trunk that prevents valets from accessing the trunk while with the car (or a mechanic for that matter!) when they should only have the valet key. So, try the latch switch in the trunk.

Hope this doesn't happen to mine, my key doesn't work in the back, so I rely on the button inside the car.

I don't recommend getting near anything drunk with a razor.. if it's on someone else, they tend to go crazy.. if it's you, you tend to cut things and make a mess of yourself.

Easy fix!!

if you look down at the latch
on the car, you'll see this switch that
pushes on the trunk lid latch to pop the trunk.
Anyway, it seems that you can push the switch
in up or down position. (Down if you want to disable
the interior trunk pop, up if you want to enable it)
Anyway, just pull that little switch up.
It looks like a little metal piece. i'll see if i can't
snap some pix later on with my sis's digi cam.

Dont worry, nothing's broken, it just sucks.

Try pushing down on the trunk and hold it down while you use the key to open it. If it does open check to make sure the latch is not pushed down.

For the not opening by key problem

Try squirting some WD-40 or a little light oil into the lock. I had the same problemb and it worked for me. (The next stop would have been repositioning the lock striker. Always a nightmare.)
