Bad radiator..or bigger problem?
Bad radiator..or bigger problem?
Well I just parked my car for the night when I noticed that there was some slight smoke coming out of the grill. I popped the hood and it seemed that all of it was coming from the radiator. It wasn't a ton, but enough for concern. Is there a definate way to test the radiator on a car or should I just buy a new one?
Find out exactly where the leak is coming before you buy anything...Fill the system back up,then start it up and as it warms up to temperature, start looking for the leaks...With a flashlight if available....

Get a new one, think of spending no more than 60 dollars. If you don't have the money you can get one of those radiator leak fix things from walmart for like $5 then ride a week like that. I used that in my Sunbird when I found out I had a pinhole leak. It has held through temps of over 200 (damn cars heat up quickly and you have to keep a fan switch as the ecu and thermostats are crappy.)

should run you about $50-60. Just make sure of no cracks or anything.
