Totalled the max. Bye, maybe...

Had a wreck about a week and a half ago and the insurance company finally came back with a verdict. My baby is dead. The front, passenger side, and undercarriage are busted up pretty bad (sorry, no pics). I couldn't believe the little lady came through the accident as well as she did. I may be leaving the forums, or maybe not. I found a good deal on a second gen that I may go ahead and take. Don't know yet, but if I get it (or another Max) I'll let you know. Thanks for all the advice in the last few months.

A third gen in need of minor repair comes cheap these days. Strip your car and find another one.

The insurance company has hauled it off, so I can't strip it. If I find one (that seems like a good deal) in the B'ham area I'll jump at it tho.

In Maryland after the Insurance company "Totaled" the car you have a right to buy it back from them..usually 10% of book value.

Me too. Three car pile up and no one was seriously hurt. We all got lucky. The car behind me tried to whip around me on a two lane highway. They didn't notice the oncoming car. They hit and I got forced off the road into the woods. For future reference the front bumper of a Maxima is not a good tree removal device...
