i am about to prep my trunk to get my touring wing put on. i have to use "filler caps" to fill the holes from where the facotry holes are because bondo will crack eventually. I was thinking of taking the center maxima panel out in between the taillights and making it a solid metal to paint. i know you guys have seen and/or done this before but no one really ever comments about it. what is the good verses the bad of doing this? what do you think? here are pics http://www.geocities.com/maximumdrop go to "my maxima"

This is weird, cause I just took that back light panel off and have already started the metal fab. I can't wait. I have just taken some photos and photoshopped them to see what it my look like. I will try to post them sooner or later.

filler caps

ok from what my auto body person told me they are flat cap like film canisters but about 1/8 to 1/4 in depth and they have a seal around it. all you do is push them into the size of the hole and paint over it. i t could be flushed with some sanding im sure and it will look kinda koo if you ask me, maybe bondo it and sand it down, im not sure. but ill have to ask more.
