car is stalling on idle or driving

Has this ever happened to anyone, I need help.
my 92 VG, stalls when I'm idling.
plus, when i step on the gas the car has no power. the rpms would go to 2000 and stay there no matter how much i step on the gas then the car would buck like a bull and die. what the heck is going on with it?

Nope, youre the first ne ...(currently Million ? 3gens passing to junk)

My guess is MAF or CamPos sensor bad; ECU drops to safe mode (=your description).

Read ECU Codes: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/748507/15

Sounds like the mass air flow sensor is either unplugged/bad connection at the maf plug or the sensor is bad....

My car had the same problem when I got little over a month ago, thats why I got it so cheap. For my car it would be very rough and stall would never go past 2000rpms, top speed it would do was like 20-30 maybe more on a real long road. Problem was Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF) and then just adjusted the IACV since it was still idling a lil rough. Its a lot better now. MAFs run for about $140-$160 at idiotzone or murrays believe me you'll feel a difference.

and it could also be the O2 sensor gone bad. Similar symptoms, and O2 was my fix.
