the final result looks pretty decent, i couldnt get matching paint (used charcol grey metallic), stock paint is charcol pearl. the faded spot had lots of horizontal straches and i have no idea how to make it look better, but I put 10 coats of paint, and 4 coats of clear coat. I also used 400 grit sand paper. What do you think guys?

I am sure its fine about 10 feet away but it looks a little dull (maybe its the picture)...much better than the yellow either way.

Not a fan of clearing over a single stage paint...just not supposed to do that but then again the rules for rattle can stuff is different from professional paint so I am sure its OK but if the paint starts lifting you know why.

to get rid of the scratches you were talking about you would prime, sand, prime sand etc. until its nice and smooth.

400 is a little too course for me but it is probably OK with that darker color. I wouldnt use 400 on a light color for sure though or you will see sand scratches.

600 is what I usually use.
