I cant find my computer?

I got an error code (check engine light) and i keep hearing that the box is under the seat or like 50 other places in maxima's and all you have to do is use a screw driver and it gives a red light or a green light .....

But here is my question I have a 90 maxima SE... I have checked under my passenger seat and No dice.... does anybody know where my box is?

BTW...
I checked the stickey's for online tech manual's but my year maxima is not covered.. and i have the haynes but it says its under the seat... no luck there...

Any help would be nice... I dont wana drive the car if its a serious code but if its somthing stupid i will just reset the code .. or keep driving it till i can get around to fixing it ...

Thanks for help in advance!

just kinda crawl underneath the passenger glove box, to the left of the center console toward the rear, you will see a piece of plastic that are held on by two phillips screw, remove that, and you will see your ECU.

Dont forget the .org as entity. Each individual fills one sector.

I have tried to figure out how many 3gen stories are around? ½million? 1.5m?? ...each owner has a story to tell. After repairs, their viewpoint is always somewhat unique. And as time to time all the .org "repair wisdom" sits here, all that ensuing fight (!?) always opens news to 3gen max ppl, kills 'propeller turbos' etcetc. I think this is awesome; one would think that everything has been already 'invented' but noooo. The so called 'stupid questions' often work as instigator.

Does anyone know if the keyless entry lock mechanisms can be taken off the door handle mechanism, and if so, just changed with the old one and it will have the same passcode? Mine seems to only want to work sometimes, and it's kind of annoying. OR if it's possible, to turn off dummy locks on these things?
thanks.

Good question I was also wondering about that since 2 of my buttons are not responding. I dont want the regular Non keyless entry, I just wanna change the keypad for one that works.
