Go with Red or Yellow top Optimas. Think they're one of the best out there.

I hear that red top is good with stereo and then I hear yellow top is good with stereo. I have a red top and I have never had a problem with my stereo

It all depends on if your going to be running your system ( if you have one ). a lot like whne the car is off, if so then go with the yellow top but if you dont really have a system or plan on playing it that much with the car shut off then get the red top

I'm running a $35 AZ special that I bought for my wagon so I could drive it home.
sold the wagon, and swapped a $13 battery into it (the wagon)
max needed a battery so a POS AZ battery is in there for now

I have a Champion Spiral Cell battery.

I definitely like the spiral cells a lot more than regular batteries. Mine was in the car when I got it three years ago. My car sits sometimes for a week or more and everytime I go out to start it, it cranks over like the battery is brand new. Even last year in the winter when it was below freezing.

Well I have a Yellow top Optimus and it is worth every penny I spent. Lights use to dim hard cord when the bass hit and sucked enough juice to kick amp off unless i shut off the lights or reved up. Put in the Yellow Top never had a problem again!! Either the RED top or Yellow would be a good investment. IMO

blue top = marine deep cycle battery. not designed for automotive applications. the yellow top is the automotive equivalent.

Walmart Everstarts have 1-3 year warranties on them. Bring the old one in before the warranty is up and you'll never have to buy a battery again!

I have A standard Exide Battery in my car ... Alot has to do with the CCA not even nessacarly the design... Try steping up in the CCA to the next level if your runing a 630 CCA TRY Steping up to a 725 CCA Generaly speaking they can handle larger loads and thats why bigger vehicles come stock with them.. and Vehicles with cold weather packages come stock with MORE CCA ... ITS all about the CCA... and parts stores break battery's up into groups so you can get even a 800+ cca in the EXACT same physical size as a smaller cca battery...

I am currently running a 630 cca with no problems...

But also in my v8 4x4 chev I run an optima 725 cca I run the optima just because its COMPLETLY SEALED and its mounted and it takes MUCH harsher beating than a regular battery ..due to its gel core design .. but for street duty (uless your running a wacky sound system) I realy dont see the need to shell out 100+ bucks for an optima when 65 bucks will do just fine ...

but then again its just my humble opinon

P.S..

Optima's are not indestructable... here is evidence when mine blew up when i went out 4x4ing it actualy caught fire and welded its self to my tray and all kinda other stuff...Lucky for me i allways keep fire extuinguisher with me
