i bought a 92 se (ve motor). today i started the car and right away the motor stumbles and squicked right away but it drives well i disconnected each plug to see what cyl was it and i found out is was the 3 cyl that was not working right my question is that could it be the coil pack??? and can you do damage to the cyl if you drive it like that??? thanks 4 the advice

Could be coil pack..Switch it out with one of the other coil packs to see if the problem transfers to the other cylinder...If the same cylinder is still misfiring then you probably need to replace the injector on that cylinder....

I replaced 7 injectors before the city got my VE, coils were still good. I actually have them in a box in my basement.
it's likely the injector though.
Don't forget to pull the plug to make sure that it's good

oh yeah, I sell injectors, plugs, coil etc...

I feel your pain...
When I got my 1990 Max for my 18th bday my dad had to take it to the shop to get most of the fuel injectors replaced. I can't complain much because it does run fine, but skips a lot when idling. Stupid injectors cost like $200-400 a piece (I forgot off hand).

I did get my injectors cleaned out recently though and it helped a little so that might be a worthy choice of action.

injectors run about $100 ea brand new, whatever you do don't get rebuilts, they don't last.

I sell injectors

listen to internetautomar,

he know his stuff,

i had the same experience before,

i had a shop put in a remanufacture injector, and that injector last only for a month, brought the car into another shop replaced with a brand new one,
the car runs alot better then before,

the price you paid would be a indicator. Over $90 or so would probably be new, or they are just ripping you off. I'd definitly find out...

hmm.. i got a #4 skipping injector same as wolf-strong though its only at idle has been tested to be bad, and skips a bit under heavy load motoring.. what should i do? buy 1 brand new, or 6 (i hear they go 1 after the other), i take it remanufactured from direct auto is out of the question... and no point in getting used injectors off junkyard....

whats the best bet.. even though it doesnt feel like its runs bad it could still probably hurt performance unoticably right?

actually you'd have better luck with JY injectors than rebuilts.
