Railroad Tracks!!!! =( =( =(

I just got my stillen kit put on and looking good..... then i drove out to one of my bands practices about an hour away, and about a mile away from the place where they practice, i slowed down to a creep so the tracks wouldnt mess with me....they hit harder than i expected. Well i got to a gas station, checked my body kit out, thought my rear was messed up for some reason, but it checked out ok. Then the girl that was with me goes "omg justin...look!" and when i got around the front, i was missing about an 18 inch section off the front lip....and it was hanging so low it was dragging.....

i could die!...theres no way to repair it, i just have to buy another, ill post pics tomorrow

what about sanding the "not visible" part in the area where it is broken, the apply a thin layer of fiberglass.....

once it is solid, you use the same process with the visible cracks and repaint....

wouldn't it be possible?

... until you drive over the rail tracks again. Sorry to hear that, but that's the fate of most lowered cars with body kits.

TN has great highways... bad side roads. I remember some of the streets around my town, god I regreted the day I lowered my truck. Wal-Mart was the worst... they had this 6 in high speed bump near the garden entrace... A geo could high center on those things.

This is why I will never lower a car I own unless I can adjust the height from inside the car..aka..bags..and thats not likely either.

car is a wee bit too low, but it looks GOOD!

but yeah, i could repair it, but its such a huge gap that it would be VERY prone to breaking, cracking at higher speeds, etc. etc.

if you nail the gas going over railroad tracks, the front of the car will lift up, causing the front not to hit.. just my .02

Bummer. Welcome to rolling with ground effects. If you ever heard about me b!@tchn about having a long front end... This is why. Bmw did a good thing with thier real stubby fronts ends.

I usually take tracks at an angle. Pretty my whole manuevering style has changed with the lack of clearance we share.

hmmm front lip or new struts.....thats a stupid two cents if you ask me.

not to mention the reason it lifts up is because it went down first. law of physics. for every action there is a reaction.

Actually its because of inertia. And it does go up first.

the bottom of the kit doesnt even clear 4 inches! it is LOWWWWW but it looks damn good...just my .02

and i do have some new struts to install

whoops yeah but it wouldnt be smart to do that for the other reason that its gonna come down and it might just come down on teh body kit.

are you rollin on stock struts with the car lowered like that?

Oh crap... Stockers are brutal with drop. I did that for a lil while... I have kyb's now, not the best, but they definetly hold up better.

No your the retarted one. If you do give a little throttle (not WOT duh) it will raise the front end, and after you let off it falls back down. no need for 50mph or anything just a little extra momentum to bring up the front.

That sucks dude. Low cars are cool and your max looks awsome.

thanks man...i love the car, and the drop, but i hate the potholes, bumps, gravel (without mudflaps) railroad tracks, bridges, animals, old men on scooters, and other random guest appearances on the highways these days ;x

How did you break it? I slammed mine in to the ground many a time and it never did anything. Tim (the realgoon9) will vouch for my stillen lip being scratched the heck up bad. I remember times where I just plowed into driveways and the lip bounced my car up. That son of a gun was strong
