Question about our Stock alarm

Its getting pretty cold here in Virginia...

The problem is my stock alarm goes off randomly and shuts off randomly..this never happened during summer time...or when its not cold outside...

Is it possible that I have a short somewhere?

Try checking out the circuit board for the alarm control module under the steering wheel dash. Resold any suspect points that you see.

Agreed..Trying to track down the problem is not going to be easy...The stock alarm system is a old and outdated system that can be bypassed fairly easially...Not worth the effort...IMO.

Actually...I believe I figured out the problem...When I took one of my hoodpins off (CF hood) the alarm went off..I believe that my hood is not latched in good enough....

Thanks guys for the input though..

yeah I had that problem with the wind blowing under the hood at night and setting it off, or acorns or something like that cause the hood is so light.
