Finally got my semi homemade cai put together today...I used jeffy's under the headlight design..[copyright $$ coming jeff ]..Thanks shawn for parts.
Total $$ for the project about $80.

Nice. Brian no need to remove for winter. It sits WAY higher than the traditional CAI. And the area that it does it in is WAY more protected from water and especially DIRT.

The whole job took about a hour and a half to do with a beer break in there somewhere,it was easy...Just took a little imagination for the battery tray..

I bought the main tube off fleabay already polished,it's aluminum..

when i did mine i bought all of my stuff from you about a year ago, i used one of the J-bends from magnaflow that you used to sell(i cant get the mandrel bend link on your site to work anymore) and just cut that.

Naw it's not a 90*...He had 3 bends available, 45*/70*/90*..I got the 70,it is exactly the bend you need...

Nothing really....That piece of metal on the battery tie down screw is kinda holding it in place until my lazy **** breaks out the welder to make a bracket....

The piece of metal is actually the bracket from the stock intake that bolts to the strut tower.....

Yes...The filter is directly under the headlight,pointing down...

When i had mine running behind the light it made an awesome noise. I notices a tiny bit less low end power, and a little bit more in the 4500 rpm range. But that may be my mind... it may be that the noise got louder sounding then and i just "felt" more power.

Hehe..My stick welder is a piece of crap....Plus i suck at teh welding..

Atleast when i pop the hood now the box will be in it's place instead of laying on it's side...

Just take the 10mm nut off of the battery tie down and set the small relay box aside...about 30 seconds...
