idk. I picked up a 36mm socket and w/e was on the shelf worked. It was like 3 or 4 in long. I guess its a deep well but I couldnt imagine ever wanting a short socket for those size nuts.

Jeese dude. Just get some brand name ones. Like craftsman, husky, ampro, etc etc. you just have to buy one for life unless you screw up. No need to deal with that cheap garbage. And get your self some PB blaster. It makes liquid wrench useless, as with some time PB blaster will get nearly anything unstuck

You won't break the autozone one..They are of very good quality...And if you are going to be successful in doing this job you really need to buy some good tools..They will pay for themselves many times over in the future..

This set cost me about $120.I've had it for 3 yrs. now and have used the **** out of it and nothing has broke..

for the large oddball sizes like axle nuts, just buy/rent the sockets as needed. they're about $10-15 to buy at Sears and you won't break them, trust me. those sockets are just as strong as the axles you're removing. no need for impacts, but you can if you really want to pay the extra money. I've got a pretty meam impact wrench (600ft-lb), and no problems with the standard chrome sockets in anything above 17mm.

and you don't need a deep socket either for the axles.

Craftsman like snap-on allows you to exchange them where they were purchased new
unlike the all-trade brand type lifetime warranty, they want you to mail it back to all-trade to get it warrantied
