HELP! Disabling factory alarm...with broken driver's side lock

Can anyone tell me how to disable the factory alarm? I was trying to reprogram my keyless entry pad and accidentally set it off. I know I have searched and read that it needs to be shut off with locking and unlocking the driver's side door, but thing is my driver's side door lock is all jammed and no longer works Are there any other ways to disable the factory alarm short of removing the alarm control unit? (which I would like to avoid). I pulled the horn fuse and disconnected the battery for 10 minutes, but when I went back to recconect it, the lights were still flashing to the alarm. Is there a minimun time I must wait to reset the computer by leaving the battery unplugged? I need help with this ASAP, I have to work another shift in another town at 3 and my car won't start!

Went and tried it with the trunk, no dice, the key I have for the car won't turn the trunk lock either I also tried reconnecting the battery after an hour, and the alarm still seems to be on (flashing lights) and I still cannot start the car I am so screwed.

You can open the trunk form the isnide correct?

On the unlock tumbler for the trunk you shoudl be able to flick the switch somehow to get it to turn off, your only other choice right now is to unplug the alarm module.

Well, the trunk trick didn't work, so I looked at the dash, 4 10mm bolts later the anti theft is disconnected. I thought it would be buried, but it was very easy to access. If I ever plug it back in, will it reset itself or will it default to the alarm being on? On a side note, I now have working keyless entry, no more having to unlock the car from the passenger side like an idiot! (such a fitting emoticon...) Thanks for the help you offered MrSector9, it was greatly appreciated!

The same thing happened to me I just bought a 93 Max, and my brother unlocked the door and the alarm went off. I didn't know what to do. I unlocked it from the passender side and I guess that worked. What I noticed is if I can't unlock all the doors from the drivers side then the alarm goes off.

Kinda embarassing if someone is around lol
