A/f ratio gauge

So i got this a/f ratio gauge from my friend for free and he doesnt have the instructions, how would i go about hooking it up?

really, don't even bother it's totally worthless unless it's hooked to a wideband o2

to clarify, I meant a wideband gauge (he didn't mention what type) with the coresponding WBo2

it's as useless as a tach , a temp , volt, or gas gauge.
you could do just fine with an idiot light, but some people like to know what's going on

Because, all you have is a gauge. The stock o2 sensor can only pick out a/f ratios near 14.7:1, which is nearly useless. To make the gauge accurate you need a wideband o2 gauge. Then that gives you an accurate a/f reading. But what can you do with it? nothing because you dont have an engine management system that lets you change your a/f ratio. Unless you buy a S-AFC II. But all that would run a couple hundred dollers. It'd get you more power and possibly better gas milage though.

the A/F gauge is handy for determining the load on an engine and could help you adjust your driving style. It is useful to a degree, just not for specifically determining the engines mixture.
