Digital Climate control degree change

Is it possible to change a digital climate control unit to celcius? I purchased one from the states, and wanted to change it to celcius if possible....
Please don't slam me because I prefer the metric system...i'm fragile

only thing i can think of would be that there may be an enable gate within a processor within the unit's circuit that would change the settings to metric, if they made the digital climate control universal and then circuit it differently to change the user interface...in other words... it may be possible that wiring the circuit a different way could fix that, but thats just a wild guess.

hmm i checked my owners manual and it shows the display being able to show celsius.. I wonder if there were two different diplays or what. No instructions on how to change it though. Sorry bud.

... what he said.

The TSM shows different drawings of what the display would look like when altering the "temperature setting trimmer" when in self-diagnostics. The different drawings are specifically labeled "U.S.A. model" and "Canada model" showing degrees F and c, respectively, so I suppose that there are separate "Control Amps" for either side of the border. I didn't see anything in the TSM that indicated that you could press a few buttons and make the change. Doesn't mean it can't be done... means I didn't see it.

There's one for sale on ebay from someone in Ontario if you *really* want metric. I'd ask if it is metric, first, though.

There may be a jumper on the circuit board that can be changed. My US unit will sometimes read in Celsius when it's acting up--usually a well placed whack gets it back to normal.

All you lucky guys with ACCs!

If you go to Craig Brace's how to on converting to ACC, it mentions a wire which, if grounded, shows the temp in Celsius.

I might have known I was thinking too much... if I'd have thought about it.
