I need to get my a/c working bad, I just bought my Maxima a few days ago and the onwer told me that the condenser is leaking. I took the car over to a shop and they said it would cost around 800 to replace the conderser and recharge the system with the new r-13. 800?? WTF! I checked a few web sites and I doesn't seem hard to fix an A/C system. Has anyone replaced their condenser before? Is it hard to get to behind the bumper? Any idea's on how to convert the system on a Maxima. Can I just open the valve and let the old freon out?
