Help! Daily Driver Messed Up

Help! Daily Driver Messed Up

Hey guys, i feel like an idiot telling you this, but i was messing around in a parking lot and i hit a patch of ice and flew into a curb. the wheel is bent back against the rear part of the wheel well and i looked under there and the lowermost "bar" is bent looking. is this the control arm? and if not what is it. what else should i look for. please help me i know im a moron but thankyou for any help in advance.

oh i forgot to mention its the front right wheel and heres a picture that i just took. do you have front parts? im pretty sure its just the control arm

Yeah i have the front parts too...But i would recommend you buy the control arm new from internetautomart.....

cool thanks, but is that what it looks like? do you see the little silvery part on the CA? that is where it bent i beleive. do you think its anything else?

That happened to me last saturday...i didnt have my max for a whole 4 days (some of the worst days of my life) because i had to order the parts...it was just the control arm for me...luckily my new sus tech fsb didnt get all messed up...well you live and you learn...

im not sure what a gusset bolt is, is it what holds the front axle to the wheel assembly?

its more of bolt that holds your control arm and attarches it to the frame of the car via a "gusset". If you look at your control arm, right under neath the arch opening where the tie rod ends stick out, you will see a large nut, that's what I'm talking about.

Actually, I believe there are 2 nuts holding the gusset on.

Yup....The fsm calls it a transverse link...Kinda confuses people...
