what is it?

what's the little black trapezoidal black thingy that's about 1/2 way up the outside of the a-pillar of both doors?

I think it's purpose is to help guide the window glass into the door at higher speeds..I have noticed the air turbulence at higher speeds really shake that part of the window..

its for rain.
youll notice that the rain collectrs there and thats the point at which it drips from.

I agree and disagree... That is the point at which it streaks across the window from. It only drips from there if the windows are open so it drips right onto your power window controls.
