Metal Steering Column

After my car was broken into, I've thought it over a bit. Wouldn't it be nice to have a steering column that wasn't plastic? That way when they're bashing the **** out of it, it'll take them hours instead of seconds to bust it open. Anyone know where I can find one of these things from? I heard of it before but not even sure if they make them for our cars.

...like most things for our car.

You'll have to build it yourself. Or have me make one for you.

....I removed my door handles and put in a alarm. How dangeroues is Az?? I live in Atlanta with all the katrina victims, or uhmmm (thieves). Car jackings went up real high recently.

depends on the part of arizona. I wouldn't want to risk it. How much would you charge to custom make one? What materials would you use and what would it look like.

Probubly steel 3/16 to 1/4 steel. Basic shape, 2 caps to replace the plastic cover and are connected with sever allen bolts. Painted finish. Price wise.... I'd have to do a little research. For the steel and hardware.

This would only make it DAMN hard to access wires. I don't know the possibility of theives gutting the ignition cylinder with a body puller. If they can do that, they could just start up the car with a screw driver and have the wheel unlocked.

thats fine, I Realise the ignition is going to be the same either way, and the wiring is what im worried about. So if I understand this correctly, its going to be a replacement for the plastic casing that was there before. And if is then you've got yourself a buyer. let me know how much it will cost. fyi mine has airbags if that makes a difference.
