best way to clean out k&n cone filter?
It is more then due time to clean out the air filter and while I am going to put my alternator in, I was thinking about cleaning out the cone. I heard your suppose to spray it with like a water hose with a water gun on it and then let it air dry for like a day. I don't have any of that grease, but other then that, what is the best way to clean one of these out?

get the cleaning kit. first shake off any loose dirt on the filter. then spray on the cleaner and let it sit for a few minutes. then hose it off from the clean to dirty side. let it air dry. then re-oil.
everything should be included in the kit.

I spray the cleaner from the kit in and then work in my bathtub with the sprayer and rinse it. I just rinse until the water comes out clear. Then of course dry and oil after that. I usr the tub because you can see the flith on the white porcelain easier, it makes me feel better.
ditto...just hosing it off isn't gonna do much good
it won't get much dirt off and it also decreases the effectiveness of the filter as well
on a related note, what K&N part number are u guys using?
i have the JWT adapter and was looking to slap a k&n on it...not crazy about the jwt filter
