Good Luck man! Probably be easier swapping a VE for a VE than rewiring a VG setup.

Is the 92 a 5-speed or an auto?

well once you finish the motor-swap, maybe you'll feel confident enough to try a 5-speed conversion

Come on vans, don't give up man! You could be like one of the first(or few) to accomplish what your doing, officially anyway. Oh well, this would probably be better for you anyway. What I would do if I was you though, I would search around a bit for a cheap old VE 5spd, and just put your 69k motor in that. Cause now your gonna still be stuck with the auto.

dude, if nothing else pay the $200, tow it home and part it out. I could use some bits for my 92 SE..

Ooh, in fact, how's the leather steering wheel and shift **** look?

Wait, auto. damn. I could really use a new leather shift ****.

I would rather be stuck with a VE auto than a VG auto. Simply because the VG autos a POS's and VE auto's don't blow as easily.

the ABS in my 91 maxima didnt work i think.. one day i locked the tires up and they just stayed lockd up..... no chattering...makes it faster too.. makes the car lighter ....i wish i had the sunroof though

i would rather not have the ari bag also.....i do so much stupid **** with my cars its not even funny..so i would rather not have an airbag so it doesnt accidentally go off

I say this as I wait for a call about a replacement car. that's not a max and I'll be lucky if it is even a V6 (6 was an option)

Can't beat $200 for a parts car, especially since you have a VE engine handy.

You have some busy days and nights ahead of you. Ah, to be young again...

VE transmission will bolt up very nicely..... but the VG flywheel is a half inch smaller than the VE... so the starter doesnt touch the flywheel... which results in no starting......you can probably get a custom made flywheel.. but i dont know the cost of it or how much work it would take.....i already made that mistake of bolting the whoile thing up and trying it... i was prety pissed when i found this out.. so no it wont work....that is why i attempted to install the VE motor also.... but too much wiring

Flywheel on an auto?? Isn't it the halfshaft?? The VE tranny to VG has been done before but only on 5-speeds. Maybe you have to use everything VE (except for engine)

well the flywheel on the VE auto has 8 bolts.. and the VG has 6 bolts...so it wont work.....since it screws into the crankshaft.. you will have to switch the crankshaft.... and i dont think the VG/VE crankshafts are the same.. but i may be wrong.. but thats alot of work
