crankshaft pulley removal

Hey everyone-

I'm about to change my timing belt tensioner and I am anticipating quite a bit of trouble taking off the crankshaft pulley. Last time I tried this (about 1 month ago) I was not able to get it off. I tried a puller (took off a piece of the pulley), tried a pry bar, and just about everything else- heat, penetrating oil- it seems to be frozen on. Any suggestions?

i had to tap around the edges with a rubber mallet and pull.

then again, i screwed up my timing somehow when i was removing the pulley, so maybe you shouldn't listen to me?

I pulled the pulley off my motor, I thought it was going to be easy since the motor was out of the car. Wrong the pulley puller busted chunks off the pulley, and the air hammer did nothing so I had no choice but to bust out the air chisel. I had to cut the pulley off in chunks. After having a mangled lump of metal sitting there i was able to get it off.
