I was stupid and backed up my max with the door open and caught a pole. My door opened out more than supposed and I dented the door between the fender and door. My fender is also a little dented. I took it to a shop for an estimate and they told me that it would run me about $1400 to fix it. For a new fender and new door jam and painting them. I thought that this was too much especially since I only paid $2000 for the car. At first I was thinking of just getting rid of it but I like my max and want to keep it. I need to know if anyone lives in the South Jersey area that knows a good cheap auto body shop. Thanx.

One.

Dent

Ever heard of Dent Wizard?
If they are not if your area there might be something similar. They are pretty good. Luckily I have never had to use them. Knock on wood!

Unfortunately that's about the right price..

you can get a junkyard fender for under $100, but to have it installed and painted will run about $500.
If you're lucky, you can find one the same color as your car that doesn't require painting, then you can install it yourself and save some money.. the doro sill still need work, but the fender will be done, and you'll save about half your money.

Good luck.

Do you have a picture of the damage?
I would like to see what's wrong. I work in a body shop, with my friend.
If it's not dented to bad it can be fixed for alot less than $1400
