Had a good rain last night and my sunroof was open for about 30 seonds of it. Just a down poor out of no where. Anyway, I have all leather and I noticed that the leather seems very dry and hard. I think it has been that way since I got it, but I was just wondering if there was something that I could put on it to soften it back up and make it look better. Also, do you think that water, which was cleaned up with in a minute, damaged it at all?
Thanks
RB

The water shouldn't hurt it if you cleaned it up quick. Also, go to an auto parts store and buy some leather conditioner. It will only be a few bucks and it will loosen up your leather, shine it, and restore it to what it should be. Little money for a wise investment.

And you need to keep doing a few times a year in order to keep it in good shape!

Clean it with saddle soap, then apply Bick 4 (www.bickmore.com). It's usually sold at saddle shops, feed stores & places like that. Great stuff for softening & preserving leather.

Meguiar's leather restorer is a good brand. And yes, it wouldn't hurt to do it every two months or so to keep it lookin' nice.

no sweat

Hey, I got a sunroof & leather interior on my Maxima as well. I have had the sunroof open plenty of times when it has rained unexpectedly. It is no sweat really as long as you got the water up. When I clean my car I put Turtle Wax Leather conditioner on my leather & it works great.
