My battery is dead

I hooked up the Hyper-ground system last weekend and also installed a blinking red led light for my security system. I did not start the car for 3 days. This morning the batery is dead (1 year old and have been running good). Does some one have experience with dead battery because of running the led blinking light for long period of time (72 hrs). Thanks.

LED barely consumes any power at all, heck, one can run continously on a AA battery for a couple of days without problem. If I were you, I would double check the security system installation, and the Hyper-ground that you got, since a short is very likely.

Thanks for your input 'disgruntled'. As you've mentioned, the LED voltage consumpsion is not much and should be the issue here.
For the instalation of teh hyper-ground kit, all I did was connect all one end of the cables to the negative terminal. The other ends of the cables are connected to engine block, starter, alternator, Transmission.

How can I check to see if my Hyper-ground causes the short?

from what you described, I doubt the hyper-ground kit causes the short, but double check all your installation points anyway, also, check the wiring around the area where you worked, since the car is more than 15 years old, you might have cracked an insulation somewhere. Also, did you also put in your security system when you did the ground wire, or has it always been there? I know some shops will do crappy installation, and can cause short out as well, since the security system is tied to almost everything electrical in the car (locks, engine, lights, horn....)

You can also try to recharged the battery, then remove all the hyper grounding, then simply put back on one terminal at a time, letting it sit for a day or two, then re-measure the battery's charge.

FIXED- UPDATE,
Per 'disgruntled' suggested. I retrace all the connection points on my ground system. All are retighten/ Removed and brough the Battery to a local AutoZOne. It checked out OK. Brought it back home and set it up in the car again. The car starts right up. Must be caused by a lose connection some where then (maybe at the Negative battery post. I tight it really tight now).
Note: the alarm system is OEM.
