Just Ordered the Wrong Guages...

I have 94 gxe and I just ordered reverse glow guages for an SE. I have 2 questions. Could I still change the color of the gauges with 4 194 bulbs. to make the reverse glow red. Also is there anything I can do so the speedometer isnt off since its 145 and not 125 like the gxe?

IIRC, the reverse glow gauges have their own illumination, independant of the lamps installed. So, no, if that's correct you would not be able to change the color. If they're a clear sort of gauge face with opaque markings, that allow the lamps installed to project through them, i can see making them red very easy... problem is I don't ever recall seeing gauges like I just described. Probably becuase even illumination distribution would be tough with a stock lamp setup and they'd probably look like ****.

It'd be an interesting project for anyone who has access to hard, thin, clear plastic and plenty of time on their hands.

did you get a thin sheet that goes over the face of your existing gauages?
or a complete replacement set?

I got ones that have a power inverter for them so they have their own illumination. But still they are 145 mph. and my stock is 125 mph lol. Is there a way to make it accurate to the 145?

you'll need a VE cluster to make them read right.
I have a VE cluster for sale.
only shows 133k on it, works fine. I pulled it from my old Grey VE

give me a bit, and I'll probably do it.
I just want to get some other people's stuff shipped before I accept anyone else's money
