power question

power question

ok so i just got a started installing all my steareo equipment (1, 12 inch pineer 500 watt sub,new pioneer head unit that will be hooked up to my ipod, two sony xplod 500 watt tweaters and a lighting audio 700 watt mono amp..i know bad brand but it was cheap for now) well anyway anytime the bass hits(witch is not hitting very hard at all but i think it is just my box) everything flickers so i was wanting to know if anyone knows of anyaftermarkey batteries that will fit maximas that have more juice or a better altinator

start with a check that all electrical connections are clean and tight.
then check that the output of the alternator is up to spec (both Voltage and amperage)
then do a ground upgrade kit

just fyi - lightning audio is made by rockford fosgate. granted it is their budget line but quality is definitely there.

back to your concern; if the car runs fine under all other conditions except for when the bass hits then i would strongly suspect you need a capacitor (good ol 1 farad should do). ur system is grossly mismatched and underpowered. u have one 700 watt channel feeding 3 channels that could potentially pull 1500 watts. ur amp is the weak link here. not because of brand but rather because it doesn't fit the system.
