Strange noise from rear of car
Once in a while I hear this electric clicking/popping (kind of sounds like an electronic component shorting out) coming from the rear of the car. It is faint inside the car and much louder outside. Sounds almost like it is in area of rear axle. Sound is not there immediately after turning off engine, usually about 5 - 10 minutes later and lasts about a minute. Fuel pump is new from this summer. Car runs fine, not sure what might be the culprit. Anyone got a guess? Fuel pump relay maybe?
Thanks,
Paul

Power attenna. Mine was doing the same exact thing till I disconnected it. The motor wears out and can't pull or push the attenna all the way and starts to clunk. If you turn the car to on (don't start the motor) and turn your radio on, you just might hear it.
I'm eventually going to shave mine off since I never listen to FM or AM.

Power antenna works fine, so I don't think this is the source of the noise.
Thanks.

Open up your trunk sometime while it's doing it. The antenna doesn't do it till it reaches the end of the normal travel. Mine would go up partially, but come down all the way. But it would still make that ticking noise even after it was all the way down.
