Thanks, That helps But I'm still not %100 sure which ones would be best, considering the cost difference. Will the Tokicos/Eibachs last 40k miles or more for sure (with cautious driving and smooth roads), and what will the Konis last? More, or the same? What happens with Konis? Do they get worn out like the other struts, just farther down the road? Or will they last forever (100k+)? Do you just adjust them to a firmer setting when they get worn out to compensate for the wear, or do they blow out the seals like the other struts?

Anyone with personal experience? Jeff, Matt, ....?

Thanks.

The limerock roads can get a little rough, but still aren't that bad. So, I'm sure they would last for longer than 12,000 miles.

I would like to hear from someone who has direct experience. Anyone out there?
umm yes i have first hand experience, im not BS'ing .... oh yea.... when i had the tokikos on, i had a long commute. so more like 36k. and to further clarify..... im not sure if it was a year because i suspected that they were going after 9 months because the ride was becomming really soft and i didnt really notice it too much until cornering started becoming a chore. i then knew for sure when my car was becoming really "loose". on fast corners the a$$end just wanted to come around(during a road course ). after burning my money on those i just wanted to

you are lucky that you are in a warm climate because you might not know they are blown. during the last winter when i had mine on... anything below 25 degrees my rear struts froze solid as if there was ice inside and wouldnt free up until the temp rose above freezing. oh and when your front struts bottom out on simple medium size bumps, thats a wonderful indicator.

i dont know how long stock struts would last on a drop. there is only one way to find out. and when you get your "real world experience" please come back and report your findings. after all, thats what these forums are for - information

Im sorry man, but putting on 36k per year is nowhere near average.

Most of you won't know the shocks are blown until you actually pull them for whatever reason. I thought my tokiblows were fine. I just happened to get a good deal on some used Konis. I pulled the Toks thinking I'd sell them. Nope. I wasn't even going to try to sell these things. Clearly 3 of the 4 were worn out at about 30k miles. I mean no resistance up/down. But the car actually drove okay.
