How to adjust idle speed with ECU ?

How to adjust idle speed with ECU ?
The sticker on the ecu says you can adjust the idle speed by turning the screw. What mode do you have to be in to be able to adjust the idle speed
with that screw on the ecu?

can't say i've ever seen such a sticker - then again can't say i've ever looked at my ecu.
in any case, i believe the screw they are speaking of is the one on the throttle.
idle speed is controlled by a number of factors. if u feel ur idle is off, it can very well be symptomatic of another issue.

There's an idle adjustment screw in the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve). It controls the amount of air at idle and then the ECU adds the right amount of fuel.
On my car (VE engine), it is located just under the Throttle body

Guys! on the ECU its self it says on a sticker that you can adjust the idle speed with the mode selection screw on the ecu.'
Don't you guys still have the gold/silver colored sticker on your ECU?

to adjust the idle you turn that screw on the ecu as if you were going into diagnostics mode. you'll start to hear your iacv clicking and that's when you can turn the screw on the iacv to adjust the idle. when you get the idle where you want it put the ecu back into the normal mode and it should be set.

just read your service manual and see how it says to adjust the idle. ignore the stickers on the ECU.

Technically, couldn't you adjust your idle speed high enough so (with a manual transmission), be able to release the clutch while in gear and not have to use any throttle to move the car??
