distributer cap

distributer cap

Does anybody know about every how many miles should you change the disributer cap, rotor, spark plugs and wires on your max?

i duno, but i can tell you go to advanced autozone, and buy the 8.5mm magstar plug wires, they are 49.99 a set, and they have to order them, and usually have them the same day free shipping to the store also.
I had really good luck with the NGK Irridium IX plugs also.

I just changed all that good stuff a few weeks ago.
The 8.5mm wires come in red, yellow,and blue i think. i picked up the red ones. look like some MSD wires.

It's pretty easy to tell when they need changing. If the plugs/contact points on the cap are dirty or worn, replace 'em!

it says every 24 months for the plugs in the owners manual
I'd probably replace the C/R/W at the same time for sanity's sake
