VG problem
I was out on the backroads floggin my car, enjoying my new RSB and Yokahomas at the posted speed limit of exactly 55mph. The car started loosing power, so I pulled over and popped the hood. There was a bit of a rattling sound coming from near the t-belt cover. My temp gauge was normal and the oil pressure light never came on to my knowlege. By the time I got home (maybe 3 miles) I could barely make it up a normal hill and the rattling/knocking was much worse. The idle is quite rough and it is very hesitant to rev up. Needless to say, I shut it off and havnt started it since. I wont have a chance to pull it apart for several days. I think the sound was coming from the t-belt cover, but it could have possibly been coming from the valve cover in that area.
I replaced my t-belt a few months ago, but didnt replace the tensioner. If a slipped t-belt or loose tensioner is the problem, I just hope I didnt bork any valves. If it's not that, does anybody have any idea what went wrong?
