Best way to clean injector contacts?

Hey,
My engine started running rough yesterday, so I pulled it in the shop this morning. I had corrosion on one of the spark plugs/wires so I replaced it. Started it back up and it's still running rough.
I pulled the injector plugs on two of the back cylinders and they are green with corrosion. Anyone have any tips on the best way to clean them?

i'd skip that process and go ahead and replace the injector(s). a week ago i scraped all terminals on my black max's injectors with a sharp nail and put everthing back together and it runs no different than before. the same cylinder rarely fires if ever. so i'd save the time if i were you. but if you insist, like i said, use something sharp and scrape away.

I used mechanic's picks (dentist like tools), a bit of 2000 grit sandpaper, and after all the dust had been blown out, a **** load of die electric grease.

did cleaning fix misses with you guys? or was cleaning them a preventive step? i cleaned mine very well, applied a nice coat of grease to all terminals and didn't help what so ever.

There is an "electric parts cleaner", a spray can that you can buy from any auto parts store for about 5 bucks.

cleaning didn't fix my rough running, it was a combination of a new O2 sensor and coolant temp sensor. BUT I did notice smoother idle.

wawa, not to get on your case or anything, but the corrosion that is on the plug is literally baked on, I mean, it took me a good 5 minutes to scrape the stuff off with a metal pick, I don't think the spray alone can do much, unless it is corrosive, which in turn is harmful for the plug.

Thanks guys.
I got them all cleaned up - sprayed with contact cleaner and made a couple picks/scrapers to get to them. I cleaned the 3 back injectors/harnesses as well as the contacts on the dist. cap. It helped, but there was still a miss. Check the spark, ok, pulled plug wires and found that one on the front wasn't firing. Made it pop on the topside of the plug a few times and put it back on, now it's running fine!
Maybe I knocked it loose or something this weekend when I replaced the power steering rack. BTW - this was a pain of a job, as one bolt is nearly inaccessable. Had to do it, though....what can you do.

Now I found that my PS bumpstop is wasted, too...guess I'll be making another stop at internetautomart.com!

i had the same problem, but my problem was due to a crack in the protective wire harness to my injectors, when i would do a engine clean during the summers water would get into the openings causing rough idle,or if i would move the harness. so I just changed the fuel injector wire harness, cleaning for me with a scraper didnt really help the problem! but IMO just swap the harness and use die-electric grease!!
