What gas do you use?

I know this topic has been covered several times in the past, but it's been awhile so what the hell!! Who's got a preference as to what brand they feed their machine? I have BP, Shell, Mobil, Citgo, and I think Wal-mart sells it, too. Since the Vg's don't require premium, I usually roll with Mobil midgrade. So let's here it...what do you use and why?

91. 89 around here has the 10% ethanol added, a big no no for our injectors. And 85 is just plain junk fuel.

I also only fill up the Maxima at the Sam's Club because they do not sell the mixed 89. And a couple of gas stations around here have been caught and fined for mixing tanks.

93 octane from shell normally. the vpower crap.

once a month ill put half race fuel from the store down the road, not sure on the octane level, but half of that and half 93 octane, the race fuel is $5 a gallon.

FYI: avoid speedway gas...Your car would be better off if you pissed in your gas tank.

normally any gas station that isnt like very very new, and is very polular i wont go to. When im on backroads, id rather run out of gas then put some cheap gas from a redneck store in my car. lol
Always go to a gas station that gets hit ALOTTTT by people.
AKA quick trips and the new shells. the old shells with the old pumps = crap.
I always look at what pumps they use too, and make sure its a new one. if its old
NO WAY.
pretty much common sense lol.

maxitech why do you say that? I use mobil1 and speedway only. I hate BP.

I only use name brand gas, you never know whats bended in that cheap shiot you get a "deal" on. When my mom had her max, every once in a while shed save some money and use cheap garbage and the max would run like garbage. mobil1 and its all good.

I run 17deg of timing (2deg more then stock) and run 87, 89 or 93 depending on my wallet. My plan is to bump to 20-23deg of timing and 93 only when I have time to experiment. should improve milage.

speedway is made cheaply from what I hear...More importantly, the few times I have used it in my car or other I have gotten horrible gas mileage. When I filled up my old accord with it, it got 50% its normal mileage and generally ran like crap. The mileage alone is enough of a deterrent with how expensive gas is.

I try to use Chevron whenever possible because of the techron stuff, but I've been told Wal-Mart and RaceTrac have crappy gas.

Lucky for me, the Chevron station a mile from my house is only 2-4 cents more expensive per gallon than the wholesale gas stations a bit further down the road.

I've used 87 Chevron/Techron with Engine #3 since I got it and have seen consistently 24-26mpg combination driving. I'm very pleased with this considering Engine #1 was swilling a gallon per 19 miles. I have not had any symptoms of injector problems (sputtering, missing, etc.) while using the gas.

It's more important to buy gas from a station that sells a lot of volume, than to shop for a specific brand IMHO.

Actaully, that's not always true. There's a little place here that has one of the cheapest prices around, and is always busy. He's also 1 of 2 stations that was caught and fined for mixing tanks.

While it's good to find one that always has customers, it's also good to find out what condition the place is in.

Also, the gas station on base here. TONS of volume from military. But I found the gas quality was actually cheaper than stations right off base. One tank of 91 from a off base source actually lasts me longer than from on base.
