Why don't you try an additive like lucas oil stop slip, I used it on my tranny and second wouldn't grab and o/d would not engage before I used the additive, It worked wonders for me !

but that tranny stuff doesnt "fix" the problem, it only aids it..... that problem will always be there since it has started.. there was a HUGe thread on this "tranny honey" about 6 months back

Well, I drive 65-70 Miles per day and didn't have 2nd gear or o/d
I did a tranny flush cleaned the passages in the valve body (Removed the valve body) And added the Lucas Transmission fix to it and it's never shifted better ! My friend has a ford taurus and the car has 300,00+ miles on it, at 250 miles the trans started to slip, he did what I did above and it's still running strong, Mind you that you have to add it in whenever you do regular maintenance on the trans but it saves you from having to replace the transmission when its not dead...........yet.

So I guess there would be some skeptisizm <(sp?)
about the product.

Troy.

sounds like an ad. haha.

yeah, the stuff wont hurt it..supposedly...if you just put it in for maintenance.

my friends dad put it in his old 3.3 caravan when it started slipping. it kept it from going out all of the way for 2 weeks. then it needed rebuilt.

I have an auto but i hope my tranny isn't going bye bye too. After replacing my trnny fluid and filter it ran fine for a week. Now it won't shift if its under WOT in first gear only. All the other gears seem to work fine though. I put some tranny stuff in and it seems to be helping some but still not shifting before redline at WOT in first gear. Any ideas?

So guys, any ideas on what the problem could be? I think I might just end up replacing the fluid again if no one can come up with any other ideas.
