I know little about car, and even less about trickin' them out. I have a basic question about lowering. I want to lower my 1990 SE for both a better ride and handling. What I don't want is to fear going over speed bumps. Any ideas?

Eibach/Tokico combo would be nice...that's what I'm getting.
Go to carparts.com and use the 20% coupon to get both for $547
Provides about 1.25 drop

That's what I have and I am quite happy. If you are worried about speedbumps, slow down. Don't hit the darn things running 80.

speed bumps are going to be harsh on any car with lowering springs, they are stiffer thats the whole idea, i suggest going over especially harsh bumps on an angle

i'm dropped 1.5 or so they say (i think it's more) with ST springs. i really don't drive much different than when the car was stock. Well, last night i tried to go up this trial behind my friend's house, so i could pull my car up to the volleyball court, lets just say i scraped. . . .ALOT!

My sentiments exactly! Had that set-up for years now.
Anything else Roman and I can decide for you?

You should do a search....I really annoyed the people on the board with all my questions so you should just look up my posts.
Right now I'm trying to find the best deal I can for the Tokico/Eibach's...I'll let you know what I come up with...so far carparts.com with the 20% coupon isn't bad.

Yea...I like how the maxima looks, but the fog lights don't look clean. What I mean is that they should be in a housing that I guess is called a body kit. Like the one in your picture (or am I just seeing things?)
