FSTB question

I just bought a no name FSTB for my max (off EBay) does anyone that has one tell me what i can expect (handling wise) or did i just waste my money by not getting one that is a BRAND name? I know it should help with the body roll on corners but does the fact that it is a cheepy one even though by the pic it looks sturdy mean that it won't help? I know that it sound like a dumb question but i only spent $18.99 so I'm just curious if it was a waste of money?

It'll tighten up the front end a little bit. Price really doesn't matter unless you got some material that bends but I highly doubt that. For things like this and a Intake you mainly pay for the name. Everyone has there own opinion on what it does but you'll notice better handling a lil bit.

yeah you really wont see a difference in brands. The only reason I recommend the Otto (which really isnt a "name" brand) bar is because its got the straight up bracket and clears the 92 up AC hose so you dont have to move or bend it. THe plus on the Otto is that its identical to the Stillen but at a fraction of the price.

But yeah the cheap bars will perform just as well as long as the bar isnt real flemsy.

I have the same one as well, though I painted the mounting plates. I just list it as Ebay FSTB on my parts list

AND YES THE ENGINE LEANS. I'm going to pull the motor this summer after I come back from my trip to TN.

When I feel like taking a round about corner at 45mph, the tower keeps the car a lot more level horizontally. They all look and perform the same to me. Best $10 I ever spent on my car

I've got the same one as well, and on the 92-up that A/C Hose isn't such a pain if you put a little elbow grease into it.

mine bolted in just fine nothing was in the way... one question i do have now is with the nut on the thread it was too long so i took them off and it fit fine now i have to assume that you want to apply pressure inward on the Struts rather than outward right. the reason i ask is that's what i did

this will sound dumb but how much improvement did you notice with the RSTB?

That's something to ask Matt, he even posted on his website that he had doubts about a RSTB improving anything, but said he was wrong after making and installing one.

I would have to guess that it would help the rear end sit a little more solid in turns. After installing the FSTB, the rear end seems loose, and likes to sway more compared to the front
