Engine Control fuse blows..one of the few problems
The engine control fuse blows when I brake or accelerate very hard. This has happend to me 3 times on my 89 SE 5sp. Twice when braking hard, and once when accelerating hard..how hard, up to about 4500rpm in 2nd and 3rd.. I dont do it often but when I did it, the car stalled. I replaced the fuse, and the car started right up, and been driving since.
Another problem: When the weather is not warm outside, Temp.<60 degrees farenheit, the rpm goes crazy while idling, the idle will jump between 1500 and 2000 constantly while in neutral, or while clutch depressed in any gear.
Last problem: Cooling fans dont turn on unless I turn on the AC, and if I do, they will turn off right when I turn off the AC. I changed Coolant temp. sensor, and also changed blue relays in underhood fuse box. Car has not overheated yet..
Right now, my 89 SE is my only means of tranpsortation. I drive about 7 miles to school and back everyday. I am kinda hesitant to do anything major, because I dont have a spare car. My 90 GXE is still banged of from the accident that messed up the rear parallel links. Hopefully I can get that taken care of on vacation.
All help appreciated..thnaks guys.

you have a demon in your car. consult a priest for an exorcism.
Lol
hmm sounds like if it does it when ure getting on it or braking hard, somethins comming loose, or touching electrical wise.
check all your grounds. I would suggest taking it to a shop, having them take a gander at it
some shops give free estamates, or either charge lik 5$
either way
its worth it

to elaborate on blacks statement
you more than likely have a positive wire somewhere that is hitting metal (ground) and blowing the fuse.
Do you have ANY non factory installed electronics on the car (I.E. radio , radar detector, alarm, keyless entry etc..)

black- go away.
This is easy. Change your coolant temp sensor, the sensor screwed into the hard coolant line on the pass side of the engine (the one the upper rad hose connects too) that should be the idle problem. My car idles like that and Im about to change it when I start driving it again. Id swap it from your other maxima and maybe even use the 89's sensor in the 90 and see what the 90 does.
