does any one knows if the manual transmission in the ve30de and the vg30e are the same or if the ve trasm. is the same with any other Nissan cars?

 

the ve and vg trans have the same casing, but hold different internals. if one was to switch a ve-lsd trans into a vgmax, he would need to switch hubs and axles to ve as well.

explain what all i need to swap a ve 5spd lsd tranny into my car, i have one at my shop!!!

please re-read first post. wheel hubs and axles for ve max. would you PLEASE donate to search.

 

People who READ as well as post on here know that you must use the VE's axles (more of a hybrid of the 2 axle types).

Now that's not any way to treat our newb friend...I like the three strikes and you're out rule. I have done the LSD conversion, and it's just that easy; tranny, axles, hubs. I did change out the carrier bearing just in case, but I don't think that it was necessary.
You have a shop and you ask us these....clever little questions? WTF? Your shop=parent's garage

OK, we open that bad boy up, and found just to be the 3rd and 4Th gear fork to be broken. everything else checks out OK, going to Nissan first thing in the morning to order the broken fork. thanks god i don't need to buy one, or re-build my trans.
