hey guys sorry for another post but im just wondering, what woud happen if i cut off the tail pipes and just left the muffler with 2 holes? would i lose MPG and would it suond different and louder?

My friend put a Flowmaster 40 on his 90 Maxima. Sounds alot like a 350Z.

 

Just replace the muffler with an aftermarket one ,Rather then butchering your current set up.

 

buy an hks hi power 2.5inch muffler, and get either a mandrel bent 2.25 or 2.5 inch pipe ran from the cat back.
you wont regret it, or get an apexi ws muffler.

 

but make sure it's JDM and not from Harbor Freight

Is this a really loud set up ?

I am looking for a quite idle with some noise to get noticed with only when I reeally get on it....!!!!

I don't want to be able to hear droning or a anoying rumble sound when cruiseing at like 55-70 either!!!

Any thing fit those picky parameters ?
